South Hampton Roads Task Force to End Homelessness
The South Hampton Roads Regional Task Force to End Homelessness was formed in 2005 at the initiative of the Mayors and County Board Chairs of the following localities: Chesapeake, Franklin, Isle of Wight, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach.
The Task Force’s mission is to provide a forum for communicating, sharing ideas, and developing regional strategies to address homelessness in Southside Hampton Roads. Our goal is to increase the availability of resources to end homelessness, to enhance the region’s ability to act as one, and to carry out both local and regional activities more effectively.
The Task Force meets on the first Thursday of each month from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at The Planning Council, which is located at 5365 Robin Hood Road, Suite 700, Norfolk, VA 23513. For more information please call Lynanne Gornto at (757) 622-9268, ext. 3005.
