About the program:
Offers a professional association for social workers. ELIGIBILITY: Membership is generally restricted to professional social workers, with BSW as minimum degree required. FEES: National Association Membership dues, which are partially rebated to local chapter. These are: Regular - $153.50; Student - $38.50; Retired - $46.50; and Associate - $123.00. SERVICES PROVIDED: Agency is involved with social concerns or problmes within a community. Agency attempts to recognize social needs and works to develop service within a system to serve people. Agency conducts studies and makes recommendations. Problems are approached AD HOC, usually through committees, and are sometimes acted upon through education, sometimes through advocacy. Agency provides workshops offering continuing education unit credits toward licensure renewal.
