About the program:
Provides a non-profit sheltered workshop offering employment training programs for handicapped adults. SERVICES PROVIDED: Virginia Beach Vocational Center is an employment training program for handicapped adults. VBVC subcontracts work from area businesses and industry to provide both paid employment and training at the site for the clients. The goal of the program is to move people into the competitive work force. Clients handle a variety of jobs - including small component assembly, packaging, collating, labeling, and rework. VBVC provides clients with on-the-job training and continuous support and follow-up services throughout their work adjustment time.
