About the program:
Provides objective information, data, research, technical assistance, and practical training to state and local officials, community leaders, and members of the general public. FEES: Information and simple services are free. There is a charge for some studies and publications. SERVICES PROVIDED: The Center for Public Service was established to assist business, education, and government in Virginia by serving as a research and information center. The Center undertakes research studies, works with business and government agencies in the analysis of problems and opportunities, publishes research data and reports, repsonds to requests for economic and demographic information and provides students of the University of Virginia with opportunities to further their knowledge and expertise by taking part in the research projects of the Center. The Center for Public Service is compsed of 4 studies ctr. business and economics, demographics, publication and civic education and leadership development.
