About the program:
Provides leisure activities, educational opportunities, and support services for a better quality of life for Chesapeake children, adults, and families in a responsive and caring manner. ELIGIBILITY: There are varying age restrictions for the different programs offered. SERVICES PROVIDED: Supervised recreation is provided at various times and places throughout the county. Instruction is provided in certain areas such as sports and personal hygiene. Special services are offered for senior citizens in cooperation with area agencies and facilities. A summer food service program offers free meals to needy children which are served at various schools, churches and other facilities throughout the county.
