About the program:
Provides year round mosquito control programs. Operates three programs year round to control mosquitoes-adulticiding, larviciding and drainage. The Adulticiding Program begins in May and runs through October, involving nighttime spraying of Anvile 10 +10, and thereby killing the adult mosquitoes. The Larviciding Program is done by truck, laborers and foremen. They begin their search for stagnant water in May and a thin coat of oil known as Golden Bear is sprayed on the water to suffocate the larvae of the mosquitoes. The last program is drainage or the elimination of standing water. Drainage occurs during the winter months when the mosquitoes are not breeding.
