About the program:
Provides a psychiatric hospital facility serving patients ages 2 through 17. ELIGIBILITY: Outpatient services are available for children aged 2 to 18. REFERRAL POLICY: Pre-screening by local mental health/mental retardation Chapter X services board is required, or prescreening by private therapist who agrees to coordinate follow-up survey. SERVICES PROVIDED: Other services are research and professional training programs for students from other universities. There is an educational program for patients. A dietician is on duty. The center sponsors medical, pediatric, and laboratory services from the Medical College of Virginia. There is an evaluation provided. In-patient group therapy is provided. Partial hospital program, out patient services. Technical assistance for agencies/communities trying to develop programs and serve children/families with multiple needs.
