Eligibility requirements: Must be a resident of Virginia; registration as Apprentice with Virginia Department of Labor.
Intake Procedure: Unrestricted.
Area Served: Chesapeake, Franklin, Isle of Wight, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Southampton County, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and the Eastern Shore.

About the program:
Provides on campus classroom related instruction for state registered apprentices in: Building Trades; Cosmetology; Dispensing Optician; Barbering; Nail Technician; Sewage Treatment & Waste Water Management and any other trade area as needs and resources permit. This program also monitors all related instruction occurring off campus. Apprentices attend one or two nights a week (depending on the trade area), three hours per night. Class length varies from 108 to 171 hours per year, again, depending on the trade. CONFIDENTIALITY: Information will be released only with authorization from the student, the Va. Dept. of Labor, or the sponsor. CLIENT TO STAFF RATIO: 22:1.
