About the program:
Promotes positive outcomes and healthy infants among women who lack knowledgeable support persons. Reduces infant mortality and low birth weight rates by informing and educating women about supportive services and programs to increase the ease with which they enter prenatal care. The program's goals are to reduce infant mortality, low birth weight rates, prevent drop outs, repeat pregnancies and to facilitate good practices through a lay home visitor model.
