About the program:
Provides direct quality legal assistance to low income persons in civil matters only through representation in court hearings, negotiations, legal counseling, and referrals. Offers community legal education through speakers' bureau. No criminal cases are accepted. Services provided to individuals who meet eligibility criteria and, in certain instances, groups or organizations which either consist primarily of persons who are income eligible, or have as their purpose the promotion in the interest of low income persons but lack the funds for legal representation.
