About the program:
Prevents institutionalization through the provision of training and meaningful daytime activities to mentally retarded adults. Also provides training in vocational, self-help, independent community living skills, recreational, leisure time, and physical activities. Services are designed to ensure that the clients enrolled have the opportunity to learn how to function in the community as independently as possible.
