About the program:
Provides diagnosis and prevention of lead poisoning. Screening, public education, and housing surveillance efforts are undertaken to identify high risk children, parents and dwellings. Blood and paint samples are taken. Laboratory analysis is conducted at the Lead Poison Control Laboratory at Colley Avenue. Inspection of dwellings is done under direction of the Public Services Coordinator.
