About the program:
Provides transitional, residential care for persons with mental retardation over age 18 and a comprehensive array of support services to prepare the residents to live in a less restrictive community based group home and/or apartment. FEES: Full fee for service rates are established annually. All SSI, Social Security or other third party disability payments are signed over to Zuni Presbyterian Home. Residents earning employment income are assessed a percentage of their earnings to cover cost of care. Parents are charged on a sliding fee basis. At no time will the combination of these various service fee sources be greater than the full fee rates. ELIGIBILITY: Zuni accepts into its residential program persons over 18 with an IQ in the range of 45-75 who have completed their public school education. All applicants must be ambulatory, verbal, have basic skills and have no severe vision or hearing impairments or other mutiple disabilities. The home is not equipped to admit residents who require a special diet or ongoing medical care or who have severe physical or emotional problems.
