About the program:
Provides teachers who are thoroughly trained to evaluate the extent of ones disability in accordance with his ability to operate a motor vehicle, provide instruction to a beginning driver, and to provide advanced or extended instruction to the recently disabled with previous driving experience. Emphasizes curriculum content, instructional methods, techniques, legal implications, and driving aids. The lab experience includes teaching the handicapped to drive, thus giving them independence.
