About the program:
Provides a temporary emergency shelter designed to care for the youngest victims of domestic violence-abused, neglected, and abandoned children. SERVICES PROVIDED: Offers a 24 hour supervision and provisions for meeting the child's basic needs, individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy, independent living skills, art therapy and an excellent recreational program. Length of stay is up to but not exceeding 60 days. FEES: $ 88.00 per day for emergency shelter. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Unable to accept those who are severely emotionally disturbed, physically handicapped, sudcidal, psychotic, chemically dependent or violent. INTAKE INFORMATION: Social Worker required to sign a written placement within 24 hours or on the next business day. LICENSURE: Virginia Department of Education, Mental Health, Social Services and Youth and Family Services.
