About the program:
Provides the inclusion and integration of people with developmental disabilities (mental retardation) in the Hampton Roads community. The program is comprised of a group of
people with and without disabilities that meets monthly to socialize, and plan group outings. The program matches volunteers from the community with people served by the
agency similar to "Big Brothers/Big Sisters". There are 2 other chapters-Endependence Center, Norfolk and ARC-Peninsula in Hampton.
Activities take place during the week and on weekends, and include recreation, socialization, and leadership training.
