About the program:
Provides services for incarcerated parents and their children. Parents in the Virginia Beach City Jail may take a parent education class series, participate in a drug treatment program and may request assistance and referrals to community resources upon release. Children of incarcerated parents participate in weekly support/education groups; homework assistance, activities and referrals for other services, such as counseling, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, prevention programs to enhance healthy childhood development are also offered.
